Kooptech® UV-C DB90.1 Box

Reliable Reduction of Bacteria, Viruses, and Fungi

Kooptech® UV-C DB.90.1 Box (Ushio Item #5003328) is a universal solution for the reduction of bacteria, viruses and fungi with UV-C irradiation.

UV-C DB.90.1 Box can be used with a variety of items, 3D glasses being among them.

3D glasses are particularly vulnerable to contamination by various microorganisms because they are exposed to aerosols exhaled through nose and mouth, and they are in direct contact with human skin and in the vicinity of uncovered surfaces of the eyes.

Therefore, after the 3D glasses are washed and dried with the Kooptech® System, it is recommended that they are also treated with UV-C germicidal irradiation to enhance your Patrons’ confidence in the theater environment. UV-C germicidal irradiation process can further decrease the risk of exposure to pathogens that cause infections1. UV-C irradiation has been successfully used for many years for disinfection* purposes in water treatment and surface and air disinfection.

Optimal placement of lamps inside the UV-C DB90.1 Box and the use of a highly reflective coating creates a uniform UV-C irradiation inside the box and maximizes the efficacy of UV-C irradiation on 3D glasses.

Reliable Reduction of Bacteria, Viruses, and Fungi

Kooptech® UV-C DB.90.1 Box (Ushio Item #5003328) is a universal solution for the reduction of bacteria, viruses and fungi with UV-C irradiation.

UV-C Box can be used with a variety of items, optical and sunglasses being among them.

Similarly to any other public place, optical stores may become a center of unintentional transmission of infections between Clients and staff. This results directly from repeated try-ons of not-disinfected glasses, exposed to aerosols exhaled through nose and mouth, direct contact with human skin and vicinity of uncovered surfaces of the eyes.

Therefore, it is recommended that they are treated with UV-C germicidal irradiation that can further decrease the risk of exposure to pathogens that cause infections1. Optimal placement of lamps inside the UV-C DB90.1 Box and the use of a highly reflective coating creates a uniform UV-C irradiation inside the box and maximizes the efficacy of UV-C irradiation on the glasses.

Reliable Reduction of Bacteria, Viruses, and Fungi

Kooptech® UV-C DB.90.1 Box is a universal solution for the reduction of bacteria, viruses and fungi with UV-C irradiation.

Although the technical solution was designed to decontaminate the eggs, it could be used for other items.

Eggs are food products of an animal origin. They must meet the quality characteristics allowing for their safe consumption. One of the critical requirements is keeping the eggs free of dangerous microbes. There are many reasons for the microbial contamination of hen eggs. Feces, contamination of nests, contamination from the digestive tract of chickens, the contamination resulting from the processes of sorting, packing, etc. These are just a few of many possible sources that pose a serious threat to the health and life of consumers. These facts, even more so, impose a special obligation on companies using chicken eggs in their production processes.

Chemical decontamination may leave a residue on eggshells that can lead to the damage of the shell if not washed properly. It is also an expensive and relatively complicated process performed mostly in large facilities.

An efficient, effective and relatively inexpensive solution is the use of the ultraviolet UV-C irradiation process. Irradiation with UV-C germicidal light significantly reduces the risk of pathogens remaining on the eggshells. The design of the UV-C DB90.1 Box, dedicated to the disinfection* of the eggs, maximizes the effectiveness of decontamination.
