Tetsuya Nishio
With a background in Financial Planning & Analysis and Corporate Planning, he has overseen numerous departments such as Sales, Finance, Engineering, Customer Service, and more. He is extremely proud and humbled to be able to lead such a successful group of people who have increased not only revenue, but also broadened our product portfolio, solidified relationships with customers, and built a reputation enabling the sales team to be truly confident about the products that they sell. It is a remarkable achievement and an honor to join such a prosperous organization. It is no wonder that we have been around for over 50 years and will strive to be around for another 50 years.
Ako Shimada
Ako leads Ushio America‘s legal, human resources, and marketing communications functions and oversees the company’s compliance, risk management, and corporate governance. She also serves as General Counsel of Ushio Europe B.V. and as a member of the Ushio America board of directors. With more than 25 years of legal, regulatory, and compliance experience in highly regulated industries and global organizations, Ako has deep expertise in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks as a strategic advisor. Born and raised in Japan with higher education in the U.S., Ako is fully bilingual in English and Japanese and understands the importance of cultural sensitivity.
Jeffrey Whitaker
With a background in Mechanical Engineering, he has always loved the technology that goes into making our products. After working at Ushio for over 20 years, he has learned to love the science of light. The number and variety of applications our customers use our products for astounds him. He’s pleased to lead a bright group of dedicated and innovative workers to meet our customers’ needs.
Michelle Robertson
Michelle joined Ushio America, Inc. in 1987 and it has been an amazing journey. She‘s fortunate to be a part of such an innovative company focusing on developing systems and processes to improve our overall operational efficiency and corporate value. She’s honored to lead our high performing service-oriented teams of Customer Service, Logistics and Material Control in providing our external and internal customers with the quality service they deserve.
