PD-LD, now Necsel IP, Inc., an Ushio group company, is a manufacturer of customized laser products, headquartered in Pennington, New Jersey, USA since 1993.
Necsel’s core competencies include the design and manufacture of fiber-optic coupled active semiconductor emitters and detectors. We specialize in fiber-pigtailed lasers, LEDs, photodiodes, and PIN-TIA assemblies. Custom made fiber-optic receptacle assemblies are also available.
Necsel leverages top-notch technical and manufacturing capabilities to create active and passive (VBG™) laser products that are high-quality, cost-effective, tailored to customers’ needs and delivered in a timely fashion. Furthermore, Necsel continues to innovate on its patented volume Bragg grating (VBG™) technology, for which the company has been awarded over 30 patents since 2003.
With over 30 years of considerable experience in the photonics industry, the Ushio Opto-Semiconductor laser devices provide a wide product selection of wavelengths from violet to red and infrared in support of a broad range of applications. These applications include display, medical, biosciences, industrial tools (sensor, leveler), machine vision, scanners, printers and a myriad of other applications being developed in the industry.
An award winning global organization headquartered in the Silicon Valley, Necsel designs and manufactures high powered visible lasers. With the financial backing of Ushio Inc., one of the world’s largest specialty light source manufacturers, Necsel has become the leader in visible laser system solutions. Necsel’s unique patented technology has transformed cinema projection and specialty lighting markets.
Our vision is to become the world’s number one laser light source solution provider for large venue projection and remote source lighting markets.
The Hyperion illuminator excels in demanding applications where high intensity light is required in the smallest of places. Designed with minimally invasive medical applications in mind, this product delivers cool, high-lux illumination that can be efficiently coupled into light channels that range from microns to millimeters. The power and versatility of this illuminator allow it to be coupled with fibers of the smallest size, enabling the use of much smaller endoscopes and video scopes. When combined with our Awaiba video processor, the possibilities for adding visualization to both new and existing devices are endless.
Single VBG™ elements with fixed wavelength and reflectivity offer a convenient and economical stabilization solution. Standard sizes are available, and large volumes are immediately available in certain wavelengths.
