Ushio America has long been a trusted name in specialty illumination. Now, the company’s engineering team has pushed that legacy further with the Midori™ Spot Cure Series – a compact, battery-powered UV LED light source designed for demanding, hand-held curing workflows where portability and precision are non-negotiable.
Available in two wavelength configurations – the UDC365 (365 nm) and the UDC405 (405 nm) – the Midori™ series delivers up to 3 W/cm2 of UV power density in a device that weighs just 4.5 oz. That combination of output and portability makes it one of the most capable handheld UV spot-cure tools on the market for adhesive bonding, conformal coating, sealant curing, and encapsulant applications.

Choosing between 365 nm and 405 m comes down to your adhesive chemistry. The UDC365 targets formulations with peak sensitivity in the near-UV range – ideal for demanding optical and medical-grade adhesives. The UDC405 covers visible-edge UV materials common in electronics assembly and general-purpose conformal coatings. Both units share the same ergonomic platform, control interface, and battery system, allowing facilities to standardize tooling across product lines.
