638nm Multi Mode High-Power Long-Life Red Laser Diode

Ushio Opto-Semiconductors, Inc. has released a high-efficiency 638nm laser diode that produces an output power of 2.4W CW / 3.5W pulsed, even in high-temperature environments.

Useful for digital entertainment applications, HL63520HD has achieved:

• MTTF of >20,000 hours
• World’s highest power conversion efficiency of 43%
• World’s highest optical output power of 3.5W in pulsed operation (maintained over MTTF of <20,000 hours)
